Hi parents! We are so glad that you have found our parent resource page! We hope the information on this page answers all of your administrative questions, but of course we are just a phone call away if you can't find what you are looking for!
At Sandhills School, we use FACTS for all billing, scheduling, report cards, transcripts, and other important student information. Our district code to login to your family portal is SH-SC.
New users will have to click "Create New Family Portal Account" next to the purple login button. You must use the email address that was written on your admissions application, or it will not recognize you as an authorized user. If you wish to use a different email to login, please email Dana Browy.
Updating Student & Family Information
Once you have successfully logged in to the Family Portal, you will want to make sure that your contact, medical & family information is current. On the left hand side of the screen, click "school" and then "web forms" to view this information and make any corrections. You can update emergency contacts and authorized pick-up persons in this location as well. Updates can be made at any point during the year.
Student Information
During the school year, you are able to verify your student's attendance and access their current schedule in the "Student" section of the Family Portal.
Sandhills School offers after-school homework help and extended care for elementary, middle and high school students, all under supervision of Sandhills staff.
Details about the 2024-2025 Homework Club & Aftercare can be found HERE.
A "Snack Pass" is good for one snack from the canteen at break time every day of the school year! The "Snack Pass" program is an optional convenience- students are welcome to bring their own snacks from home to enjoy during break. For the 2024-25 school year, you will be billed $125 through FACTS if you choose for your child to participate.
Regular attendance is necessary for students to make maximum progress. Students benefit from daily reinforcement of content, classroom discussions and consistency of routines.
A student must be present for a minimum of four periods to receive credit for a full day. Students with more than 10 unexcused absences may not receive credit for the school year.
High School students with more than 10 unexcused absences will be required to participate in a credit recovery program in order to receive credit for the school year. If a parent chooses for their student to not participate in a credit recovery program, the student may be retained in their current grade level for the following school year or may not be offered re-enrollment.
Excused absences and tardies require documentation and may include, but are not limited to illness, doctor/dental appointments, college visits and family emergencies. Doctors notes and other absence documentation should be submitted to Cici at the Front Desk.
Students with an unexcused absence may be ineligible to play in athletic games or participate in club activities that are scheduled on the same day as the absence.
All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and background check. Volunteer Drivers must also submit a copy of their current driver’s license, MVR report and proof of insurance to Patty Gutierrez at patty.gutierrez@sandhills.school
