Sandhills School is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Orton-Gillingham Academy (AOGPE). Sandhills School is one of 19 schools in the world accredited by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. Sandhills School is also an Orton-Gillingham accredited training program.

We do not offer early morning drop-off but we do offer after school care until 5:30. 

Sandhills School partners with the company Schoolhouse Fare to deliver ready-to-eat lunches from a variety of local restaurants. Schoolhouse Fare offers weekly menus from local restaurants like Panera, Chickfila, Panda Express, PDQ, and Subway. Meal orders and payment are completed online through Schoolhouse Fare.

School is in session from 8:00am to 2:55pm. The front desk can be reached via phone until 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Sandhills School has a very active and engaged Parent Council. Parent Council plans events, activities and treats for our students and teachers. 

All students will be provided a school-issued Chromebook to use for all classwork on campus. Middle and High school students may also take their Chromebooks home for school-approved use. Personal laptops, tablets, and devices are not permitted on campus. 

Sandhills provides a dynamic learning environment for 1st-12th grade students of average to superior intellect who learn differently.  We excel in educating children with diagnosed language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.

We are always accepting applications for students that are a great match for our mission. 

Financial aid is available to Sandhills families. Sandhills hosts several yearly scholarships that help pay part of the tuition.

Sandhills tuition covers everything the student will need in the classroom; chromebook & case, lab supplies, books, etc. Tuition does not cover the back to school supply list, sports participation fees & uniforms, and the cost of field trips. 

Please submit the following forms during the application process: teacher recommendation form, records request form, current school transcripts (HS only), health records, and immunization forms. Please also provide service reports, such as occupational or speech therapy if applicable.
