Journey to Sandhills

Robert discovered his love for teaching during a graduate internship at Georgia Tech. That experience led him to pursue teaching full-time, and he spent three years at a small independent school in Atlanta before joining the faculty at Sandhills.

Robert enjoys the collaborative, student-focused atmosphere at Sandhills, where he’s able to connect deeply with students and bring science to life in creative and engaging ways.

Favorite School Tradition

Robert’s favorite tradition is the High School Founder’s Day Cornhole Tournament. He loves seeing students relax, compete, and cheer each other on in a fun, lighthearted way to celebrate the Sandhills community.

Campus Life Involvement

Robert coaches Cross Country and Chess Club, supporting students both on the move and across the board.
