Why I Love Sandhills

“I love the small class sizes and getting to work with such creative students across all three divisions.”

With nearly three decades of experience in independent schools, Kelley appreciates the individualized attention Sandhills provides. She finds joy in teaching creative, out-of-the-box thinkers who bring fresh perspectives to her art classes.

Why I Enjoy Working with Students with Dyslexia

“Our students are very creative with their out-of-the-box thinking!”

Kelley finds inspiration in her students' unique approaches to learning and problem-solving, which enrich her teaching and make every day in the classroom rewarding.

Favorite School Tradition

Founders Day & Spirit Week: Kelley’s favorite time of year is the lead-up to Founders Day, with Spirit Week bringing energy and excitement to the whole school. “I love that the entire school gets involved—it’s such a fun week and a wonderful showcase of our Sandhills spirit!”

Life Outside of School

In her free time, Kelley immerses herself in Columbia’s vibrant cultural scene. She loves listening to live music and dining out, enjoying the city’s energy and creativity.
