Dear Parents,
You already know
Sandhills
School for the individual attention we give each of our students. Of course,
that attention also
extends outside the
classroom. So in
response to many
inquires and encouraging
requests from parents,
we’re proud to announce
that Sandhills will be
adding a ninth grade
class for the 2008-2009
school year.
What does that mean for
you and your child? It
means you’ll know he or
she will continue to
benefit and learn from a
multi-sensory education,
enriched curriculum,
individualized
instruction and minimal
teacher/student ratio.
In other words,
continuity. We’re
currently refining our
course offerings, but
rest assured, our ninth
grade curriculum will
exemplify the best
qualities of a college
preparatory environment
and focus on the
strengths of each
student.
Sandhills has a long
tradition of value and
character education as
well as a philosophy of
trust, mutual respect,
self-discipline and
community service. We
have a record of success
with our students, your
children, and are
eagerly looking forward
to the opportunities
that offering a ninth
grade brings all our
students and parents.
But our commitment
doesn’t stop there. To
give your child even
more continuity in
preparation for his or
her future, we’ll also
be adding a grade each
year to create a full
high school. In fact,
plans are already in
motion on this exciting
new project.
Look forward to
receiving more
information about our
exciting plans. In the
meantime, please don’t
hesitate to contact me
or Ramsay Bokinsky with
any questions.
Sincerely,
Anne Vickers
Head of School
