Giving to Sandhills
Since the establishment of Sandhills School in 1975, the community in the Midlands, and beyond, has provided resources that allow Sandhills to fulfill its mission. Sandhills School is fortunate to be a part of a community that has continued to recognize the need for the school and continues to provide a system of support and guidance that allows Sandhills School to provide an educational experience that remains unsurpassed in the region.
Ways to Give
Unrestricted Funds
Unrestricted donations are extremely important because they support needs throughout the school. They provide valuable funds wherever the need is greatest and go directly to the heart of our mission.
Scholarship Funds
Many gifts from foundations and businesses go toward financial assistance. We, and the families they support, are very grateful for these gifts.
Restricted Gifts
Donors are welcome to direct their gifts to programs in the school that particularly interest them. Computer technology, 1-8 grade curriculum, school grounds, library, art, music, and teacher training are just some of the areas that can be supported.
Endowed Funds
Extraordinary gifts can help Sandhills secure its future by endowing school programs that are of particular interest to a donor. An endowed fund is carefully invested, and the income is used in perpetuity to support the particular program the donor has identified. Endowment opportunities begin at the $25,000 level.
Securities and Annuities
Donations of highly appreciated stock and annuities are an excellent way to help Sandhills as are gifts of life insurance. Many donors find there is a personal tax benefit as well. Please consult your financial advisor for more information.
Planned Giving
Many supporters of Sandhills wish they could do more for the school. The easiest planned gift is to simply remember Sandhills in your will or trust. If you have already done so, please let us know. There are also other ways to make a planned gift. Please contact your financial advisor for more information.
Matching Gifts
Double the impact of your donation! Many companies encourage the charitable giving of their employees by offering to match their gifts. All you need to do is include the company’s matching gift form with your donation, and we will do the rest.
In-Kind Donations
Whether it is an item for the Art Gala or a book for the library, an in-kind donation can have a positive impact on the school. If you are interested in making an in-kind donation, please contact the school first to see if Sandhills can use the gift properly.
